Marks & Spencer’s trail blazing Plant Kitchen range has brought us Mac & Cheese Bites, No Chicken Kiev, Chorizo Puppies, Chocolate Cherry Pots and more. To celebrate Veganuary 2021 they’re adding 15 fantastic new vegan products to their offering, including freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, salt ‘beef’ pretzel rolls and strawberry cheesecake wedges – all available from 4th January.
Alongside these exciting new additions you’ll also find Greek Style Cheese, Mature Vegan Cheese Block, No Beef Steak Bakes, melt-in-the-middle No Fish Cakes, creamy mash potato and a barista-style oat milk. Many of these are the first of their kind on the market, and typical of M&S’s innovative approach to plant based eating and long-standing commitment to offering delicious vegan alternatives. Including an aubergine-shaped Easter egg you’ll be able to enjoy in a couple of months.
It’s not just the product launches that get M&S excited, according to April Preston, director of product development:
“As the proud owners of the UK’s No1 vegan own-label, Plant Kitchen we’re getting SUPER excited about Veganuary! This year we’re sharing the sign-up links with all our colleagues in stores and support centres, encouraging them to give Veganuary a go. We’ve got lots of amazing new products launching in our Plant Kitchen range, so it’s the perfect time to sample them. Our M&S Food leadership team are getting fully involved as well, and will be creating a series of fun, weekly videos that we’re sharing internally of the team sampling different Plant Kitchen products and their meat equivalents and finding out which comes top!”
