It’s been a big year for vegans already, and we’re only in March. Veganuary gave veganism a massive boost in visibility, which in turn gave us better access to vegan options – we have a burger option on almost every high street chain restaurant’s menu, vegan cheese popping up in nearly every pizzeria and can find a vegan option in pretty much any situation you throw at us.
Now convenience is going next level in Bristol thanks to Vegan Vend – a vending machine company serving drinks, sandwiches, wraps and snacks – all 100% vegan.
Their menu changes frequently, however recent options have included pizza pockets, coronation chickpea sandwiches, sweet potato pakora wraps, sausage rolls, chocolate brownies, millionaire shortbread and a selection of smoothies and juices, all from small, local businesses.
Vegan Vend began life in 2018 as a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over £3,000. Founder Remi Toth now has two vegan vending machines installed in Bristol – Daisy and Violet – with her sights set on other cities across the UK. Both vending machines have been decorated by local tattoo artists, making sure you don’t miss them.
Visit Vegan Vend at: The Island, Nelson Street, Bristol, BS1 2LE and at The Galleries, Bristol.
